People book Lion Sands and then arrive in the wrong camp. River Lodge is the one with eighteen rooms on the Sabie, in Sabi Sand, where the rooms sit close together and the river is the shared view. A private pool is not the default. It belongs to the four river suites. A child under 10 is not on the twice-daily drive. Narina, which looks similar in a photograph of trees and water, is inside Kruger and does not take children on safari at all. Come if you want the busier riverside lodge, and if everyone in the party is at least 10. Skip it if you wanted a pool at every door, or the Kruger concession rather than Sabi Sand.
