01 - Arrive

The place itself

Lala Salama means “sleep well” in Swahili — a promise of peace, comfort, and unforgettable nights in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. This intimate luxury tented camp sits in the heart of the park, designed to leave a light footprint while giving guests an all-inclusive safari: distinctly designed tents, 24/7 camp service, and a direct connection to the plains. Three tent types cover couples, small groups, and families. The Luxury Double is a king-size retreat with mosquito-net canopy, outdoor shower, and a freestanding bathtub looking onto savanna. The Triple Treat sleeps three with a flexible bed layout and private deck. The Lala Familia welcomes children of all ages, with two four-poster beds, a separate living area, dual-vanity bathroom, and a dedicated family safari guide. Every tent includes an en-suite luxury bathroom, mini bar and coffee station, walkie-talkie and flashlights, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a private deck. Stays are all-inclusive: daily morning and evening game drives with expert Maasai guides, bush breakfasts, sundowner cocktails, and camp dining. Hot-air balloon safaris and cultural visits can be arranged. Transfers are typically a scenic charter of about 1.5 hours from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport to a nearby airstrip, where the camp team meets you.
