Killarney Mountain Lodge

Killarney Mountain Lodge is at 3 Commissioner Street, Killarney, Ontario P0M 2A0 — on the shore of Georgian Bay's north channel, facing Manitoulin Island, at the foot of the La Cloche quartzite mountains. It is approximately 100 km southwest of Sudbury.

Killarney offers waterfront log cabins (handpicked Eastern White Pine logs), executive suites in the Covered Portage building (perched on pink granite with Channel views), cozy pine-paneled cabins, renovated Pine Lodge rooms (2021), and La Cloche dormitory-style rooms. All accommodations have access to resort amenities. No TVs or WiFi in rooms — by design.

The La Cloche Mountains and Georgian Bay around Killarney were painted by members of the Group of Seven — particularly A.Y. Jackson — in the early twentieth century. The quartzite mountains, the pink granite, and the light quality of this particular stretch of Georgian Bay are what drew them, and the landscape has remained largely unchanged. Killarney Provincial Park protects and provides access to this scenery.

Yes — Killarney Provincial Park is accessible directly from the lodge. The park offers exceptional hiking in the La Cloche Silhouette Trail system and canoe routes through the park's lakes. The lodge provides canoes, kayaks, and bikes to help guests explore independently.
