Trout Point Lodge of Nova Scotia is a luxury wilderness lodge on the Tusket River in the UNESCO Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve. The largest and most remote of Nova Scotia's protected wilderness areas, encompassing Kejimkujik National Park Seaside Adjunct and thousands of acres of Acadian forest, wetland, and river corridor in Yarmouth County. How the days go

  1. Drive into the Biosphere

    The last 20 km of road to Trout Point is a forest track. The Acadian wilderness closes in around the car and the lodge suddenly appears in a river-bend clearing. Arrival is its own moment.

  2. River deck and sauna

    Drop bags, find the wood-fire sauna, and take the first hour on the Tusket River deck. The river is the rhythm of the lodge.

  3. Lodge dinner
