Chanakyapuri is a diplomatic neighbourhood, and the hotel is a palace inside it, 35 minutes from the airport. The reason to travel is the set of rooms: Le Cirque, Jamavar, and Megu are three kitchens, not one "fine dining" line. The useful warning is operational. They closed those rooms to anyone not staying, from 11 to 15 October 2026, for a private event, and said they would resume on 16 October. A restaurant in a palace can disappear for a week. Come if you are staying, or if you have checked that the table is actually open. Skip it if you wanted the convention hotel, or Gurugram for a short ride from the flight.

The restaurants are the substance: Megu for modern Japanese, Le Cirque, Jamavar, The Qube, The Library Bar, and the Lobby Lounge. A November 2025 company note said Michelin Keys had given this hotel two keys, and that Megu and Le Cirque had been in Condé Nast Traveller's Top 50 restaurants. Those are their citations, not a guarantee of a table. The hotel posted that facilities and restaurants would be closed to non-resident guests from 11 to 15 October 2026, with operations due to resume on 16 October. If you are not sleeping here, ask before you treat Le Cirque as open. This is not The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, and it is not the Gurugram hotel 15 minutes from the same airport.
