There are 82 rooms in a 48-storey tower set against the 1916 Chamber of Commerce, on Suhe Creek rather than on the Bund. Dinner with Niko Romito is on the 47th floor, in the same room as the bar, looking toward Pudong. Bao Li Xuan is Guangdong food, downstairs from that view. Capella Shanghai, in the lanes of Jian Ye Li, is a different hotel. Come if 82 rooms and the 47th floor are the point. Skip it if you wanted to sleep on the Bund itself.
