Kenoa sits on Barra de São Miguel beach in Alagoas, on Brazil's northeast coast, neighbouring a nature reserve. The original-experiences page is specific about the architecture: reforested eucalyptus trunks that grow through the hotel, piercing floors and roof. Architect Osvaldo Tenorio is named on the resort page as the designer, working with the Kenoa team. Pedro Marques, the owner, is named on the same original-experiences page. He is a Portuguese-born former Deloitte engineer who developed the hotel from a family summerhouse, with no prior hospitality experience. The published sustainability note is recycled materials, reclaimed wood, and LED lights. The spa is printed as Caudalie-equipped.
