Where is Mount Engadine Lodge?
1 Mount Shark Rd, Canmore, AB T1W 0B9 -- 38 km south of Canmore on Smith Dorrien Trail (Highway 742), about two hours from Calgary. The highway is gravel for about 37 km and is plowed in winter. Rental-car insurance still applies because it is a numbered highway. Free guest parking.
What stay types do you have?
Six lodge rooms, three cabins (Whiskeyjack two-bedroom; Burstall and Birdwood one-bedroom), five year-round glamping tents, and a seasonal yurt on request. 38 guests max.
Are meals included?
Yes for overnight guests: breakfast 8-9 a.m., packed lunch, afternoon tea 2-5 p.m., dinner 6:30-8 p.m. Rates are CAD dual occupancy. Alcohol is extra. 10% gratuity is included.
Do I need a Kananaskis Conservation Pass?
Yes. Daily or yearly pass, not included in lodge rates. Buy online or at a kiosk before arrival.
Are you open in winter?
Yes -- lodge rooms, glamping tents, and cabins year-round. The yurt is seasonal, on request. Fat bikes, snowshoes, and cross-country skis are available.
Are pets allowed?
$35/night in all glamping tents, cabins, the yurt, and the Elk Suite. Leash outdoors; not in dining rooms. Tell them the dog's name and size when you book.
What is the cancellation policy?
Date change or full credit within 48 hours of booking. Less than 48 hours notice: no credit or refund. 50% deposit for 3+ nights; 100% for 2 nights or less.
