Mount Engadine Lodge is an award-winning backcountry wilderness lodge and glamping resort in Kananaskis Country, at 1 Mount Shark Rd, Canmore, AB T1W 0B9 -- about 38 km south of Canmore on Smith Dorrien Trail (Highway 742), two hours from Calgary. Stay types on mountengadine.com/accommodations: six lodge rooms (including the Chickadee Room for solo travellers and Moose and Elk suites), three pet-friendly cabins (Whiskeyjack two-bedroom, Burstall and Birdwood one-bedroom), five year-round glamping tents (king or two twins, pull-out sofa, gas fireplace, ensuite, balcony), and one seasonal yurt (up to four, book on request). Capacity is 38 guests. Rates are in CAD, dual occupancy, with all meals included (breakfast, packed lunch, afternoon tea, three-course dinner) plus a 10% staff gratuity. Extra adults $150/night including meals; youths 5-12 $75/night; children 5 and under free. Pets $35/night in tents, cabins, yurt, and the Elk Suite. Check current room rates on their WebRez booking tool. A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required and is not included. Open year-round except the yurt. Barrel sauna on site (extra charge).
