## The place

Mosaic Lagoon Lodge sits on the Hermanus Lagoon at Wortelgat Road, Stanford, 7210. The suites page puts five luxury safari-style suites among milkwood trees: lagoon and mountain view, forest view with a wood-fired hot tub, and a two-bedroom family cottage with veld view, also with a wood-fired hot tub. Children are taken from four years old. Maryke De Villiers is named as owner on the about-us page. The same page records that founders Breese and Kathryn Johnson transferred the lodge to her. Milkwood Spa is on site and uses the Kalahari botanical range. The suites page prints three rates for two adults: accommodation only at R 5000, bed and breakfast at R 6400, and all inclusive at R 12,960. All inclusive, as printed, covers meals, house beverages, a beach excursion, a fynbos safari, a guided nature walk, mountain bikes, a boat trip on the Klein River, and kayaking or SUP on the lagoon. Whale watching and shark diving are printed as outsourced and not included. The pool is slightly heated. Wifi is described as strong enough for email and WhatsApp, not for films.
