People book Lion Sands and then arrive in the wrong reserve. Tinga is the family camp: nine suites with plunge pools on the Sabie, inside the south of Kruger National Park, not in Sabi Sand. Ivory is the eight-suite camp on the Sabi Sand side of the same river system, with a different phone and a different manager. A Tinga suite is 861 square feet, smaller than Ivory's 1,561. Hinkwenu Villa is the private house, from $9,600 a night on the page. Come if the trip is more than one generation and the park, not the private reserve, is the legal boundary you want. Skip it if you wanted Sabi Sand's traversing rules, or a camp that stays quiet after dinner.
