Axel from Germany and his Vietnamese wife Dung opened the property in 2023 after years running Zen Cafe Lakeside in Dalat, seeking a quieter countryside setting with fresh air cool enough to skip air conditioning. The surrounding landscape is a draw for nature lovers, photographers, cyclists, bikers, hikers, joggers, and bird watchers: mountains, valleys, hot springs, waterfalls, lakes, rocky rivers, coffee and cocoa farms, and traditional wooden villages with welcoming locals. On site, guests enjoy fresh local healthy food, a serene atmosphere suited to yoga and meditation, and bungalow stays ranging from intimate doubles to two-level family and de luxe units. Dam Rong sits about 100 km from Dalat airport and 125 km from Buon Ma Thuot airport (~2.5 hours by car).
