## Our read

What stood out at Chiva-Som was the order of things. At Nong Kae the pavilion sits on the beach, the garden feeds the kitchen, and they begin a first stay with a consultation. You go for the plan, and the sea is beside it.

## The place

Chiva-Som Hua Hin is at 73/4-6 Soi Moo Baan Nong Kae, Phet Kasem Road, Nong Kae, Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110. The site prints that address and the telephone +66 32 536 536. Write reservations@chivasom.com. Book on chivasom.com. They tell first-time guests that a consultation on arrival sets the plan. The photographs are the gulf from above, with the pavilion and the pool, a person walking the terrace in yellow, a practice beside the water, the pond and the wooden pavilions, the organic garden with the chef, and a suite opening toward the trees. There is no film here. Chiva-Som is one resort in Hua Hin, with its own desk. The other frames are the terrace, the practice, the pond, the garden, and a suite.
