## The place

Grand Hotel Tremezzo is the hotel at Via Statale 5401, 22016 Tremezzina, on Lake Como. The telephone they print is +39 0344 42491. Reservations are reservations@grandhoteltremezzo.com. Book on grandhoteltremezzo.com. Rates are on their site. They write of 77 rooms and suites. The sizes they print include park view prestige rooms at 380 square feet, park view deluxe and lake view deluxe at 430 square feet, and junior suites and terrace garden suites at 550 square feet. They also name a palace rooftop corner suite. They quote Greta Garbo in the film Grand Hotel, 1932, calling it that sunny, happy place, and they describe two families and one vision across a century. The photographs are theirs: the palace from the lake, two bedrooms, a salon opening onto the water, the floating pool, and the garden mosaic. The pages we checked did not publish a film file, so this profile has no film chapter. The Garbo line is a quotation they print, not a claim that we visited.
