## Our read

Splendido is the hotel above Portofino at Salita Baratta 16. The page keeps Splendido Mare as a shuttle, not as this address.

## Come here for

- The hill above the harbour
- La Terrazza, if dinner is the point
- A shuttle down to the Piazzetta

## Skip it if

- You wanted a door on the Piazzetta itself
- A city hotel would suit you better

## The place

Splendido, a Belmond hotel, stands at Salita Baratta 16, 16034 Portofino. The property phone is +39 0185 267801. They place it above the harbour, with a complimentary shuttle down to Splendido Mare on the Piazzetta. This page is the hill hotel, not the waterfront hotel. The detailed count they publish is 48 rooms and suites, five signature suites, and one private villa, Villa Beatrice. A shorter line on the same site says 53 rooms and suites. Ask which figure they want kept. Dining they name includes La Terrazza, Splendido Grill, and Baratta Sedici Bar. Dior Spa is on the grounds. They also say the hotel appears at position 60 on the World's 50 Best Hotels 2026 extended list. That is their 2026 claim. Confirm it if the year matters. Genoa airport is about an hour, and Santa Margherita station about 20 minutes, as they publish those drives. A monastery origin and a 19th-century house for Baron Baratta are their history, not a visit we have made. Book on their page. MindReach does not take the reservation.
