## Our read

What stood out was the fountain in the cypress court, the lavender in front of the suites, and the rust spheres under the olive. The tables are set under a plane tree. The landscape is the gallery.

## The place

Domaine des Andéols is at Les Andéols, 84490 Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt, France. The telephone is +33 4 83 88 33 77. The desk is info@andeols.com. Book on andeols.com. They say the domaine holds 8 nature suites and 11 independent villas, each a house of its own, in a preserved landscape in Provence. A stone fountain sits in a court of cypress. The nature suites look out over a field of lavender. Rust spheres, large enough to walk among, stand in the grass under an olive. A plane tree, with a stair winding up the trunk, shades the tables. A pool runs between olives, with the hills behind it. Inside one suite, a wooden construction hangs on the wall and the doors open onto the same country.
