## Our read

Whitepod is a small mountain domain with two kinds of bed, a published spa price, and an address you can actually find.

## Come here for

- Two people who want a pod, not a hotel corridor
- A family chalet above Monthey

## Skip it if

- You want a city hotel in Geneva or Lausanne
- You need a guaranteed road to the door in heavy snow without asking them

## The place

Whitepod Original sits in the mountains above Monthey, in the Valais. The address they publish is Les Giettes, Des Cerniers, 1871 Monthey, Switzerland. The stay is in two kinds of shelter: pods, which they describe as a nest for two in the landscape, and chalets for friends or a family. The domain has restaurants and a spa. One treatment they price in public is a 90-minute massage, inspired by Ayurveda, at CHF 190. Other prices belong on their site, not here. Activities are on the mountain around the pods. They also take seminars and weddings. Book on whitepod.com or write to reservations@whitepod.com. A current offer on the homepage can change, so the rate to trust is the one they confirm.

## What it is like

- A kitchen on the hill: Restaurants are part of the domain, not a trip down to town.
- The mountain is the program: They describe the land around the pods as the place for the day's activity.
